In essence, this involves assisting clients in reaching their sustainability goals by trading environmental products and offering expert consultancy services. About the Job As a International Business Development/ Sales Trader, your main responsibility will be to create, manage, and grow a diverse portfolio of clients. Each client presents unique needs and challenges, requiring you to adopt a service-oriented, entrepreneurial, social, and hospitality mindset. Your role will involve going the extra mile to build and maintain strong customer relationships. This includes cold calling, generating leads, delivering presentations, and drafting proposals. Collaboration is key, both with clients to achieve win-win outcomes and with colleagues to add value to customer interactions. About You We are looking for a dynamic, driven young professional with practical experience and a strong interest in finance, hospitality, sustainability, or sales. You should be skilled in cold calling and possess a balance of sales-oriented and consultative approaches. Self-motivation, perseverance, a willingness to learn, and openness to constructive feedback are crucial. Patience and tenacity are essential for success in this role. Requirements - Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam. - Native or fluent in English; additional languages (Dutch, Spanish, French) are a plus. - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality, or Sustainability with strong sales skills. - Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Ability to blend analytical and commercial skills. - Comfortable operating in an international environment and working across global time zones. - Hospitality-oriented, entrepreneurial, motivated, ambitious, energetic, social, collaborative, and consultative mindset. - Willing to cold call and expand your client portfolio. - Eager to learn and accept constructive criticism. - Willing to take calculated risks, learn from failures, and persist. - Motivated to make a positive impact. - Drive and patience to close deals. Main Tasks & Responsibilities - Proactively acquire new clients to grow the business around climate action worldwide. - Identify client needs and match them with appropriate climate solutions. - Represent the company in client meetings and at global conferences. - Develop compelling offers and proposals in collaboration with clients and colleagues. - Successfully conclude commercial agreements and onboard clients. - Contribute to the sustainable commercial success of the team and the company.
