Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:Aurora Department: IP Behavioral Unit FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Day and Evening Rotation Pay: $23.49 - $30.53 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs Responsibilities: Conducts assessment and establishes recreational therapy treatment goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of patients. Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of recreational therapy interventions. Coordinates therapeutic recreation activities for both large and small groups to observe patient response and encourage socialization. Provides patient and patient's family with information regarding leisure life styles and creates an awareness of recreational resources in their community. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy. Certified as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCTRC). BLS within 30 days of hire. Advanced CPI within 30 days upon hire and then yearly recertification to meet the BHA rules and regulations 11.9.3D We improve lives. In big ways through learning, healing, and discovery.
