Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Emergency Medicine in Florida

Job Title: Nocturnist Physician Job Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Duration: 12 months Shift: Nights, various shift times including 8p-6a Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Open to physicians with IM or FM background with Emergency Medicine experience License: Appropriate state medical license Certifications: Board certification in EM, IM, or FM Must-Have: Emergency Medicine experience Job Description: - Provide patient care during night shifts in an emergency department setting - Participate in shadow/orientation sessions to become familiar with procedures and systems - Manage a total of 154 patients per day within the emergency medicine unit - High-level specialty support available; dedicated pediatric coverage from 9 AM to 9 PM - Work within a team including 4-5 physician shifts and 5-6 Advanced Practice Provider shifts daily - Maintain high standards of practice in a tourist destination locale close to the beach - Ensure accurate documentation and case logs as needed - Collaborate with support staff to manage varying levels of patient acuity - Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
