Position Summary: The Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care in an acute care setting, delivering quality care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can manage patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and performing assessments. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the Med Surg unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and according to nursing protocols. Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and other clinical indicators, responding quickly to any changes in patient status. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update care plans for patients. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide education and support regarding diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Meditech charting system. Ensure patient safety by following all protocols, procedures, and infection control measures. Required Qualifications: Licenses: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a Med Surg (Medical-Surgical) nursing role.
