Modular homes involve manufacturing entire buildings in a production environment, which are then transported to construction sites to be assembled by general contractors. We are seeking an experienced Plumber with knowledge of residential and commercial builds. Responsibilities • Install water, vent, and waste pipes, along with appliances and fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and dishwashers in modular units. • Install pipes for water and gas. • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using coupling, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking, or soldering. • Assemble fittings and valves for installation. • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using hand and power tools, or machines. • Follow instructions on installation. • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills • 5 years of experience in commercial and residential new builds. • Knowledge of plumbing applications. • Ability to read blueprints. • Ability to work collaboratively, lead, and be a team player. • Skilled in interpersonal communication and establishing effective working relationships. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with construction, commercial construction, residential construction, and plumbing. • Knowledge of PVC and mechanical piping installation. Work Environment Monday - Thursday | 6:00 am to 4:00 pm (optional Friday) or Monday - Thursday | 4:00 pm to 2:00 am (optional Friday). This is a shop-based position and does not count towards hours for a Journeyman or Master license. Candidates must be comfortable with this. The role offers year-round work in one location without the need for travel. Work in a brand new 180,000 square foot facility with AC/Heat and brand new machinery. The company focuses on multi-family living, senior living, and hospitality development sectors. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albertville, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.82 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
