You'll be joining a dynamic Legal team at the heart of a business that's forward-thinking, fast-moving and trusted by millions of UK consumers every day. What you'll be doing As our Data Protection and Compliance Lead , you'll be the central point of expertise across the business for data protection and compliance. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you'll: Manage and respond to data subject access requests and regulatory queries Support and guide the business on data protection practices, including GDPR compliance Lead investigations into suspected breaches and develop practical remediation plans Design and deliver communications to build awareness of data and compliance responsibilities Maintain and enhance policies covering data protection, retention and compliance Oversee data risk in third-party relationships, ensuring contracts include the right protections Collaborate with IT, HR, Legal and operational teams to classify, secure and manage data appropriately Engage with external bodies like the ICO and legal counsel where needed What we're looking for Strong experience in a data protection focused role-ideally in-house OR a qualified lawyer seeking a broader in-house opportunity Excellent working knowledge of GDPR and related legislation A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to advise and challenge Strong interpersonal and communication skills-you'll work with a wide range of teams Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and build trust across the business A genuine interest in doing the right thing, with an eye for detail and a drive for progress We're not all the same at Greencore and our differences help us to make every day taste better for all our stakeholders.
