Wylam Brewery is on the hunt for a talented, passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Based in the beautiful surrounds of Palace of the Arts, Exhibition Park , were known for bold burgers, banging beers, and an electric events calendar from weddings and events to gigs and food festivals. Whats the gig? Supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, seasonal menus across a range of events and services from our tap room food offering to large-scale functions Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chefs absence Contributing to menu development with a strong understanding of flavour, seasonality, and presentation Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen organisation Bringing good vibes, creativity, and consistency to every plate About You Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen at sous chef level or above A genuine love for food, local produce, and innovative cooking Strong leadership and communication skills Cool under pressure, with a sharp eye for detail Flexibility evenings and weekends are part of the rhythm here with the opportunity to flex your contracted hours throughout the calendar year What We Offer Company Discount Card Enjoy generous staff discounts across food and drink at Wylam Brewery and our associated venues. This is a full time position with an immediate start, with a contract for 45 hours and paid additional overtime.
