Job Title : Engineering Manager Reports to : Director of Engineering Location : Bangalore - 5 days (Onsite) Key Relationships : Business Development, Customer Success, Product and Engineering teams Job Purpose : You will build and support our current engineers,providing them with leadership to succeed. As an Engineering Manager you will work closely with Partners, Product Managers, Technical Leads and Engineers to deliver solutions that add value to internal and external customers. You will need to be curious, self-sufficient, detailed and intrinsically motivated. What youll do : People Leadership : - Lead hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development - Conduct regular 1 : 1s, offer mentoring, and support professional growth - Navigate performance challenges through coaching and structured support Team & Project Operations : - Allocate engineers across product areas based on strengths and goals - Partner with Tech Leads and Delivery Managers to monitor team health and delivery - Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement - Maintain high-level awareness of product development and team capacity Culture & Communication : - Build an inclusive, empowering team culture rooted in trust and transparency - Advocate for your engineers, balancing team needs with business goals - Foster a feedback-rich environment with open lines of communication Who you are : - Engineering Management Experience (12-15 Years) - Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams with a focus on people, performance, and culture. Technical Leadership : Experience driving technical direction, mentoring engineers, and influencing architecture in fast-paced environments. Hands-on Development Background : - Strong software engineering fundamentals and real-world experienceyou can guide your team with credibility and insight. Bonus Skills : - Exposure to Ruby on Rails, React, or Angular is a plus, helping you connect with our current stack and technical direction. Excellent Communication : - Able to articulate complex ideas clearly, give actionable feedback, and keep everyone alignedtechnical or not. People-First Leadership : - Empathetic, encouraging, and thoughtful. You value the growth and wellbeing of your team just as much as the output.
