Sous Chef

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Home Economist ( Sous Chef) to join the team behind the camera, supporting competing chefs on a primetime cookery television show. Role Responsibilities As an Assistant Home Economist, youll be part of a small Home Economics team reporting to the lead Home Economist to assist competing chefs throughout the competition. This will include: Setting up the kitchen each morning Reviewing ingredients upon arrival, ensuring the highest quality and correct quantities Establishing a good working relationship with your assigned chef Working with your assigned chef to prepare the ingredients ready for cooking Maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the chefs workstation Working with the team to minimise food waste by repurposing additional ingredients for crew meals or donation to the public Adhering to all sustainability requirements around recycling Ideal Candidate You will have a professional qualification in home economy or cooking (or proven experience delivering high quality catering at a professional level) Previous experience in a busy professional kitchen An interest / desire to work in the television industry Live within a 1hr commute of Stratford Upon Avon. This contract will run throughout filming from 8th September through to 28th November 2025, Monday to Friday and be based from Stratford Upon Avon. You will need your own transport to get you to the studios each day, however subsistence whilst there will be provided. AMRT1_UKCT
