Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 4x10, 06:00-16:30 Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year in Cardiothoracic OR License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have: Experience with Open Heart & Thoracic procedures Job Description: - Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. - Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability. - Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. - Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. - Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. - Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. - Ensure professional attire, following the dress code of black scrubs. - Stand and walk most of the time on duty, lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs. - Engage with patients of all age groups, conducting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
