Warehouse Manager

Job Description Job Description We are presenting an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager in the logistics industry, based in Hanahan, South Carolina. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be in charge of managing the overall operations of the warehouse, optimizing inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination. You will be leading a team of supervisors and warehouse staff, implementing strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline workflows. Responsibilities: • Direct and oversee the daily warehouse activities to ensure operations are efficient and precise. • Guide, coach, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, including dispatchers and forklift operators. • Monitor the warehouse budget, manage expenses and identify opportunities to cut costs while maintaining operational efficiency. • Uphold a safe workplace environment by training staff on the proper use of equipment and handling of materials, following all safety regulations and company policies. • Keep track of key performance metrics related to warehouse efficiency, costs, and customer service levels, implementing corrective actions when necessary. • Address warehouse operational issues promptly, including inventory shortages, shipment delays, and staff conflicts. • Develop strategies to improve warehouse operations, implementing process improvements to increase efficiency. • Collaborate with management to establish goals and devise strategies for achieving warehouse and company objectives. • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting delivery timelines and quality expectations. • Perform other duties related to warehouse operations as assigned.• Proven experience in the logistics industry • Proficiency in accounting software systems • Familiarity with Concur software • Deep understanding of accounting functions • Prior experience in warehouse distribution • Knowledge of warehouse duties and responsibilities • Expertise in PkMS Warehouse Management System • Ability to operate and maintain warehouse equipment • Experience in warehouse inventory management • Demonstrable skills in warehouse management • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment • Familiarity with WMS systems and applications • Proven record in logistics and distribution • Understanding of the logistics industry
