If you love cooking traditional, fresh, home-cooked meals and thrive in a well-organised kitchen environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you The Role As Kitchen Manager, youll take charge of kitchen operations, leading by example to deliver high-quality, fresh meals with consistency and care. Based in a stunning location, this permanent, full-time role offers a unique chance to work in a supportive and friendly environment while making a meaningful impact. Key Responsibilities for the Kitchen Manager Kitchen Operations Management Oversee the preparation and cooking of food to ensure quality and consistency. Manage kitchen operations during service, ensuring that food is delivered on time. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Team Management Recruit, supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure high standards of performance. Schedule staff shifts and manage kitchen rota. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff. Menu Planning & Development Collaborate with kitchen team to plan, develop and update menus. Ensure menus are cost-effective and meet guest expectations and special dietary requirements. Stock Control & Ordering Monitor stock levels of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring minimal wastage. Order supplies and ingredients in a timely manner, maintaining relationships with suppliers. Health & Safety Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring staff adhere to health & safety guidelines. Carry out regular inspections of the kitchen and storage areas. Follow Calvert Exmoor policies and procedures Budgeting & Cost Control Monitor food costs and waste to ensure the kitchen operates within the allocated budget. Implement strategies to minimize food wastage and reduce overhead costs. Guest Experience Ensure food quality meets customer expectations. Key Highlights for the Kitchen Manager : Location: Kentisbury, North Devon a truly picturesque workplace. Schedule: Enjoy a condensed hours rota work 4 days one week and 3 days the next, including every other weekend. Plus, youll finish by 7pm, giving you excellent work-life balance. Your Experience & Skills: Previous experience in a similar role or as a Head Chef. Excellent knowledge of kitchen management and food preparation techniques.
