Job Description

A high volume, full service hotel is looking to recruit a Conferencing & Events Floor Supervisor who is an inspiring, empowering and results orientated leader with a passion for service excellence whilst maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals. Key responsibilities will include: Supervise assigned shifts, including late shifts, to ensure venues are set up correctly and events run smoothly. Delighting the guests by offering trendsetting and innovative ideas and outstanding service experiences. Ensure staff are trained and can offer world class service to our guests. Lead a team of people, encouraging teamwork and personal accountability and thereby promoting staff engagement and retention. Delegate responsibilities effectively to meet event requirements and maintain operational efficiency. Support and supervise the team during events, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Requirements: Matric A relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution would be advantageous. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a busy, high demand environment. Own transport Competencies: Excellent communication skills. Proactive, decisive, innovative, creates support from others and is devoted to quality. Client focused with market orientation. Solid financial & business acumen. Excellent C&E knowledge.
