Facility Maintenance Worker - Venice

Facility Maintenance Worker Location: Venice, FL 34285 Pay: $16 per hour Schedule: Varies weekly based on scheduled events Job Type: Full-Time This position involves performing a variety of manual labor tasks, from light to heavy work, to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of recreational facilities. Responsibilities include checking and cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, assisting with events, and providing general maintenance support. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain interior and exterior facility areas, including rooms, parking lots, restrooms, playgrounds, and outdoor courts. Empty trash and ashtray containers, clean dumpster areas, and pressure wash buildings as needed. Perform safety checks on playgrounds, equipment, and facilities. Move, set up, clean, and dismantle furniture and equipment for special events. Maintain flags, stock supplies, and ensure proper facility setup. Conduct minor repairs and operate maintenance equipment such as pressure washers, floor machines, utility carts, and hand tools. Provide excellent customer service, including opening/closing facilities and coordinating maintenance schedules. Utilize computer software for facility management, including Microsoft Office and recreation management systems. Assist with event and program setup across various locations. Qualifications Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, moving, and cleaning. Experience operating maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and repairs. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols. Customer service skills to interact with facility users and event coordinators. High School Diploma. Valid Florida Driver's License.
