Who You Are You are a motivated and enthusiastic individual, passionate about promoting the personal development and well-being of children and young people. You are equipped with relevant qualifications in Play Work (NVQ / Cache Level 2 or above), possess knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health and safety, and have experience working with vulnerable groups and children with complex needs. You are adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team, and actively engage with your community. What the Job Involves Your role as a Play Worker involves supporting the daily operations of open access play facilities, organizing activities, and supervising children and young people in parks and playgrounds. You will develop and deliver enjoyable and stimulating programs, maintain necessary records, and ensure facility maintenance to high health and safety standards. Additionally, you will promote services, support fundraising initiatives, and adhere to council policies, focusing on equal opportunities and child welfare. Skills Play Work qualification (NVQ/Cache Level 2 or above) Experience in open access play services Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures Adaptability and flexibility Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Good interpersonal and networking skills
