Position: Executive Banqueting Chef Job Description: We are seeking a visionary Executive Banqueting Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead our culinary team, crafting unforgettable banqueting experiences that reflect our lodge's dedication to luxury, innovation, and South African heritage. Responsibilities: Oversee all banqueting kitchen operations, ensuring world-class quality and service. Plan and execute innovative menus that highlight local ingredients and cultural flavours. Lead, mentor, and train the culinary team to deliver excellence in every dish. Collaborate with event coordinators to design bespoke dining experiences. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, budget, and supplier relationships to maintain efficiency. Monitor kitchen performance to uphold consistency and high standards. Address guest feedback promptly to enhance the banqueting experience. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Guest Satisfaction: Deliver outstanding culinary experiences that exceed expectations. Menu Innovation: Regularly update and create unique, trend-setting menu options. Team Development: Foster a motivated, skilled, and cohesive culinary team. Cost Efficiency: Maintain budgetary goals without compromising on quality. Event Excellence: Seamless execution of banqueting events with attention to detail. Health & Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to food safety regulations. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in luxury banqueting or event dining. Expertise in menu design, food preparation, and culinary innovation. Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and manage a team. Passion for showcasing local ingredients and sustainable practices. Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is advantageous. A creative vision paired with exceptional organizational skills.
