Field Guide

Our client, a luxury lodge in the Eastern Cape, is seeking a Field Guide, who has a passion for nature, conservation, and environmental education, to join their hospitality team. The Field Guide will be responsible for leading outdoor expeditions and educating guest on the fauna and flora in the area. Key Responsibilities: Lead guided tours, hikes, and wildlife safaris Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests in outdoor environments Identify and interpret natural and cultural features of the region Maintain and inspect equipment used for tours and fieldwork Provide first aid and emergency response when necessary Requirements FGASA Certification Trails experience Experience in guiding, conservation, or outdoor education. Strong knowledge of local wildlife, plants, and ecosystems. First Aid certification Ability to work long hours in remote and physically demanding conditions. A valid driver’s license (4x4 driving experience is a plus). Skills Wildlife tracking skills.
