Head Guide

Key responsibilities include: Leading and conducting guided safari tours, providing expert knowledge of wildlife, flora, and the environment. Managing and training a team of guides, ensuring they uphold the lodges standards and offer exceptional guest service. Ensuring the safety and well-being of guests during game drives, walks, and other lodge activities. Developing and maintaining guest relations, ensuring a memorable experience. Managing schedules and coordinating tours and activities with other lodge departments. Maintaining high standards of environmental and conservation practices during tours. Assisting in the preparation of training programs and performance evaluations for guides. Requirements: FGASA NQF Level 4 (Level 2) qualification is required. Minimum of 3 years experience in guiding, with at least 1 year in a Head Guide or similar role. Excellent knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and ecosystems. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to engage and communicate effectively with guests. Valid First Aid and drivers license. Exceptional guest service and interpersonal skills. A passion for conservation and wildlife. Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
