You will play a key role in creating an exciting and engaging experience for customers while leading a passionate team dedicated to exceptional service. What will I do? Manage and develop a team of employees by engaging in meaningful conversations, building trusted relationships and providing development opportunities Foster enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for offerings and ensure the team provides a positive dining experience Manage department operations, including ordering, scheduling, payroll, and forecasting Ensure the department runs efficiently, and maintain consistent two-way communication with team members and store management Oversee that offerings are prepared with speed, accuracy and consistency Ensure the team properly uses equipment, follows recipes, adheres to safety guidelines, and complies with federal and state laws Required Qualifications 1 or more year work experience, preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting Ability to balance providing incredible service while ensuring laws and policies are strictly adhered to Passion for food and people with enthusiasm to learn more about the product Systems aptitude, including computer skills Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a team Experience ordering products and controlling inventory Experience coordinating the daily work of others Enthusiasm for and knowledge of relevant products Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new situations At Wegmans, we’ve long believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
