About the facility An Outpatient Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Oncologist for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location The facility is located in Eastern Alabama. About the clinician's workday The position is primarily outpatient but includes hospital rounds on the oncology floor. The daily patient volume is 4050 treatment patients across all MDs, with each oncologist seeing 68 follow-ups per day. There are 34 new oncology consults and 2 hematology consults daily. Weekday call is 12 days per week, with rotating weekend call shared among three full-time oncologists. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and the facility uses the Cerner EMR system. Additional job details Case load/PPD: 40-50 treatment patients per day amongst all MDs, 6-8 follow up ppd per oncologist Support staff: Provider will have a full-time nurse and multi care tech. We also support MDs with nurse navigators, social workers, etc. Patient population: Adults Call ratio/schedule: 1-2 days per week, weekends that rotate with other three full time oncologists Location type: On-Site Prescriptive authority required: Yes of new consults: 3-4 per day Why choose LocumTenens.com?
