Reporting to the Corporate Executive Chef, the Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for the continued smooth day-to-day operation of the cafeteria and overseeing Vending machine business. Manage food safety by preventing spoilage and contamination through proper hygiene and safe food handling practices. Oversee cafeteria kitchen operations, including supervising staff and managing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Supervise vending machine business at all Maple Lodge Farms locations. Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures, including training programs and safety regulations. Interview, hire, and train new employees, conduct performance appraisals, and administer discipline as needed. Maintain supplier relationships, manage inventories, and order supplies as necessary. Participate in budgeting, reporting, and operational planning. Ensure cleanliness and equipment maintenance in the kitchen, reporting malfunctions to the Corporate Executive Chef. Comply with company policies regarding schedules, uniforms, absenteeism, and tardiness. People Supervision: a. Organize and supervise the activities and work of a small team of subordinates to ensure that all assigned work activity is carried out in an efficient and procedurally compliant manner. b. Provide formal and informal feedback to subordinates to ensure their continuous development and overall contribution to the achievement of Maple Lodge Farms business strategy. Policies, Processes & Procedures a. Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. b. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of improved department processes, What you will bring: Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor in a similar leadership role in a high-end culinary setting Culinary degree or equivalent certification Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and guide a culinary team Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Culinary creativity and innovation Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Proactive problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment Collaborative approach and effective team management Completion of a college culinary course, or equivalent.
