RN House Supervisor

One of Ohio's leading healthcare facilities is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN House Supervisor to join their team in near Wheeling, OH, with a $10K sign-on bonus. This role is ideal for a Registered Professional Nurse who will assume administrative responsibility for managing all nursing services during their shift. In the absence of Hospital Administrative staff, this responsibility extends to all hospital services. Key duties include appropriately placing patients in units, visiting patient care units to evaluate conditions and staffing needs, and administering personnel distribution based on staffing patterns and patient acuity. The House Supervisor also provides direct patient care when needed, facilitates communication between medical and nursing staff, coordinates services between departments, and maintains cultural and age-specific sensitivity. Additionally, they ensure compliance with safety precautions and emergency preparedness plans, provide feedback on employee performance, and support the reporting of medication errors and adverse drug reactions. The ideal RN House Supervisor will hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Ohio, BLS and ACLS certification upon hire, and PALS certification within six months. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of Med/Surg, Acute Care nursing experience, with a BSN and management experience preferred. Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work with hazardous chemicals and infections, are essential.
