Job Description

One of Oklahoma's top critical access hospitals is seeking a dedicated Hospital Physical Therapist to join their team Reporting to the Director of ProRehab, this full-time position is 72-80 hours per two-week pay period, with shifts during the day and weekly hours ranging from 36 to 40. As the Hospital Physical Therapist, you will organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part. You will help patients reach their maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within their capabilities. The ideal candidate for the Hospital Physical Therapist will hold a Baccalaureate, Master’s, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school and possess current South Dakota licensure as a physical therapist. The role requires physical stamina to lift, carry, and manipulate equipment used in evaluation and treatment, as well as for standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting while transporting or transferring patients and performing treatments. Visual, auditory, and speech acuity are essential for effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other care team members. This position involves almost constant one-to-one contact with patients and may require lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Work is performed inside a well-lit, heated, and air-conditioned space and may require travel to outreach locations.
