Chef Wanted – Make a Difference with Your Cooking Do you have a passion for cooking and a heart for making a difference? We’re looking for a talented and caring Chef to join our friendly, welcoming team at a charitable children’s activity centre. This is more than just a cooking role—it’s an opportunity to create nutritious, comforting meals that help children feel at home during their first-ever trip away. Your food will build trust, confidence, and happy memories for every child who walks through our doors. This is a Temporary-to-Permanent role, transitioning after an Enhanced DBS check (approx. 12 weeks). Your Role: Prepare fresh, nutritious meals, catering to dietary needs and preferences Supervise a small kitchen team, ensuring smooth service and top hygiene standards Maintain our 5-star food hygiene rating and uphold health & safety regulations Oversee kitchen operations, assist with budgeting, and collaborate with other staff About You: MUST drive to reach our location Experienced chef who enjoys working with children Strong leadership skills – able to manage kitchen staff effectively Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and budget management MUST have: Food Hygiene Level 2 & Allergy Certification Benefits: 36-hour week (Mon - Fri , including occasional weekends) Set shifts for work-life balance: Mon–Thurs: 9am–5pm Fri: 7:30am–1:30pm Flexibility to work shifts between 7am–7:30pm Enhanced DBS certification applied while in role On-site parking Expected hours: 36 per week Benefits: On-site parking Experience: Chef: 1 year (required) Cooking: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required due to location)
