London Gatwick is rapidly evolving, with a potential capital investment of £2.8Bn over the next decade to enhance and expand its infrastructure. We are looking for a Lead Digital PMO and Systems Manager to drive innovation and transformation within the capital delivery of construction projects at the UK's second-largest airport. In this pivotal role, you will define and execute a Gatwick-wide Construction Digital PMO strategy, streamline processes, and integrate innovative technologies to enhance project delivery. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll drive digital efficiencies in construction project delivery, ensuring measurable, impactful results. As Gatwick continues to expand, your expertise and leadership will be essential in overseeing the successful execution of construction capital projects, leveraging digital capabilities to maintain momentum and remain at the forefront of modern construction methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking leader to make a significant and lasting impact on Gatwick's built environment, ensuring the success of one of the UK's most ambitious airport infrastructure investment programmes. The role Reporting to the Head of the Project Management Office and collaborating cross functionally, you will leverage the expertise of your team and subject matter experts, to develop and lead a comprehensive Digital PMO strategy, aligning digital tools, processes, and governance with the airport's strategic objectives, whilst identifying opportunities to integrate automation to optimise project outcomes and improve safety. Other duties include: ● Leading the development and implementation of London Gatwick's Information Management strategy using BIM, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and industry best practices. ● Owning and developing critical digital project management systems that underpin capital delivery of construction projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Gatwick's infrastructure expansion plans. ● Developing and overseeing the Common Data Environment (CDE) to facilitate seamless integration of project data. ● Championing governance and compliance with project lifecycle Tollgate points, providing expert guidance. ● Implementing a structured digital maturity model to continuously assess and enhance project delivery. ● Lead and maintain comprehensive capital project documentation procedures, ensuring strict adherence to standards and supporting the integration of digital tools and best practices. What are we looking for? As well as experience developing and implementing digital strategies, you will also have previous experience managing complex, cross-functional teams and stakeholders, addressing challenges and ensuring alignment across diverse groups. In addition, you will have: ● A Degree/Post-Grad level or equivalent in a relevant technical, construction, engineering, or business subject, or equivalent experience in a project management role. ● Demonstrable experience leading digital transformation initiatives within capital project environments. ● Demonstrable experience of applying continuous improvement principles with a clear understanding of process improvements driving operational efficiency. ● Proven leadership in driving digital transformation, including the integration of cutting-edge technologies within project management processes. ● Experience with advanced IT systems and a thorough understanding of BIM platforms, Common Data Environments (CDE), and digital tools that support the capital delivery lifecycle. ● Demonstrable success in developing and maintaining project governance structures. ● Knowledge of capital project procedural frameworks and proven success in implementing and maintaining comprehensive quality management systems. ● A clear understanding of digital maturity models and the ability to assess and enhance digital adoption within project teams.
