Here at Lifeways in Longton we are looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic team. Ideally you will have previous experience in a Care / Support Work, however, if you are new to the role and have a passion for helping others to lead their most independent lives then Lifeways can offer you excellent training and ongoing support to enable you to enjoy a rewarding career with us. Longton has a residential property and has been a residential service for over 20yrs. The service located on the outskirts of Longton town centre and is serviced by great bus routes and Longton train station is a ten-minute walk from the home and Stoke drive is a 15 x minute drive for the home. 5 x of the 6 PWS whom reside at the service have been here for over 20yrs and they know the layout of their home very well and the home is vast and spacious for wheelchair users, with a number of communal areas and PWS own private bedrooms with decoration of choice PWS: enjoy: Meals out at the local pub, Cinema visits, Bowling, Gardening and garden activities , PWS have a therapy dog Bessie whom lives in the home (staff on duty need to like dogs) has own support plan, PEEPS and R/A, Holidays, Day trips, Stoke City football club (matches), Watching films, Playing bingo, Music activities, Shopping, Arts and crafts, cake and coffee in the community How do I apply?
