Director, Hospitality Central Services, Milano Cortina 2026 – Olympic & Paralympic Games

Position Overview: On Location is seeking a Hospitality Central Services Director who will be supporting the Games planning and execution of on-site services and operations delivery. Leading a diverse team across multiple locations, this role requires the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the successful delivery of the Games. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee various functional areas (departments) responsible for Games-time operations and pre-Games planning and delivery, ensuring coordination between each function. These areas may include (subject to change): Accreditation, Logistics, Health & Safety, Security, and Accessibility. Accreditation: Ensure all On Location staff and vendors are properly accredited to perform their official hospitality function. Ensure Access Control plans are in place. Logistics: Responsible for all warehousing, storage, processing, and delivery of guest gifts and workforce uniforms. Health & Safety: Ensure the physical well-being of all staff and clients, including medical services, injury prevention, health monitoring, emergency preparedness, and implementation of safety standards across all On Location venues. Security: Mobilize a high-performance team with the right mix of Olympic and major events security expertise to plan, coordinate and integrate MC26 and State security strategies to support On Location’s delivery of a memorable client experience within a safe environment during the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Accessibility: Make Official Hospitality products, venues, and experiences accessible to every guest, especially those with special needs. Lead a team of locally and remotely based Functional Area heads, ensuring effective collaboration with other On Location teams and counterparts within Local Games Organising Committee and IOC when relevant. Partner with the Vice President Human Resources on people strategies including hiring where needed, and relevant initiatives to deliver on the Games. Collaborate with various teams to define and adapt roles & responsibilities, ensuring that all On Location programs are adequately serviced and that information flow is effective. Manage a cross-cultural, international team across various projects. REQUIREMENTS Experience working in multiple Olympic Games or other similar global events with one or more of the relevant functional areas listed above. Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Extensive experience with sports event management. Experience in managing a cross-cultural team of event professionals within a matrix environment. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage concurrent priorities. Fluent in Italian and English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proactive in identifying areas where support can be provided to meet deadlines. Presently resides in Milan, Italy.
