Dothan, Alabama, Nurse Practitioner Hospice and Palliative Care Opening Clinical Role: Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to enhance our interdisciplinary palliative care program This position is supported by our Hospitalist physicians and Nurse Practitioners as well as a team of experienced case managers and a Spiritual Care Director Ideal candidates will possess or be willing to obtain an ACHPN certification Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm No call required and no weekends Deliver direct and indirect patient care for palliative care inpatients through comprehensive assessments and aggressive symptom and medication management Provide inpatient consultations in critical care, oncology, neurology, cardiology, and general medical and surgical units Collaborate with referring providers to coordinate a plan of care Conduct goals of care discussions with patients and families to align treatment choices with their wishes No outpatient responsibilities One of the largest not-for-profit tertiary referral centers in Alabama Allow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more Organization: Competitive compensation dependent on experince $15,000 commencement payment Paid interviewing expenses Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance plans Retirement plan Paid time off for vaction and illness Annual allowances for professional fees and CME Paid malpractice with tail coverage 3,000 dedicated employees 400 active Medical Staff Serves over 600,000 in a 75-mile radius 22 ORs with 2 endovascular suites and open-heart surgery suites Interventional cardiology, EP and radiology labs, lithotripsy, 3 MRIs (1 a 3-T), 3 CTs including a fixed 64 slice CT and PET Scanner 24/7 Neurosurgery coverage with employed neurosurgeons and a fellowship trained neuroendovascular interventionalist 56 total ICU beds with a 14-bed CVICU/progressive care unit Medical Hospitalist program provides ED unassigned coverage, care for transfers, and inpatient consults 28 bed inpatient psychiatric program Region's only facility offering TAVR and Watchman procedures Level 2 trauma center staffed by EM residency trained physicians One of 3 Comprehensive Stroke Centers in Alabama with a dedicated lab for neuroendovascular procedures open heart surgery suites Pain Management services provided through OPT services on SEH campus 28 bed inpatient psychiatric program Accredited Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residency programs The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) is Alabama's first osteopathic medical school and the first in the U.S. to be developed by a regional medical center.
