The Role: The OVH F&B Manager will be part of the On Location F&B department. This role will assist in project planning, contract management, mobilisation, operational delivery, and demobilisation of F&B services for the Official Off-Venue Hospitality Programmes (OVH) across designated venues for the Milano 2026 Olympics and Paralympics. The F&B Manager will support the F&B department in the planning and contractualization of the F&B companies across all venues. During the planning phase, the F&B Manager will assist in managing one or more F&B contracts across multiple venues, while helping develop and implement the F&B strategy across all competition venues, focusing on specific and specialist planning elements for the overall project. During the operational phase, the role will evolve into managing the F&B Operation team at competition venue level with the site venue management of the hospitality F&B operations, F&B service providers, and On Location venue team. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Strategy Assist with the development of F&B service levels and specifications for each hospitality product in line with the concept of operations. Assist with the construction of the F&B contract and deliverables. Procurement and Contract Management Evaluate proposals from F&B service providers and key suppliers, presenting objective and quantifiable analysis and recommendations for the Senior Leadership Procurement Committee prior to appointment. Manage contractual and commercial timelines and responsibilities in the relationship between On Location and the designated contracted service provider from award to completion of the contract. Monitor, coordinate, and manage F&B service provider’s project planning deliverables and other pre-event obligations in line with the master project plan and department risk register. Operational Planning Work in partnership with Senior members of the department and the Technical Operations team in FOH and BOH space allocations and planning, infrastructure, utilities, and equipment layout design for fully functional F&B operational space. Develop operational narratives for each F&B space and provide necessary information and paperwork required to obtain licensing, permits, and sign off from government and tournament stakeholders. Develop a fundamental understanding of the hospitality products on sale and recommend opportunities to enhance client experience through improved operational delivery. Reporting Establish efficient reporting systems for On Location venue teams for F&B. Ensure the regular execution of issue logs and risk assessments on designated venue(s). Requirements: In order to perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. You Have These: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing food and beverage service sales. Good knowledge of international and localized food and beverage cultures relating to hospitality services at large scale public events. Prior experience with large-scale events in Milan is a plus. An in-depth understanding and experience of international event F&B procurement and contract management from tender design to execution. Ability to coordinate operational teams composed of direct reports, multiple contractors, and service suppliers in delivering high level hospitality programmes. Experience and understanding of front and back of house operations involved in delivering high quality hospitality guest experience. Knowledge of SharePoint, Smartsheets, and Microsoft Teams. Presently resides and/or is willing to relocate to Paris, France.
