Operates radioscopic equipment. Acts as an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge/expertise, and is a leader/resource to the healthcare team. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s): Required Master's Degree: Preferred Five years' technical experience: Preferred Two years' leadership experience: Preferred Three years' nuclear medicine experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: State Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HI Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Required in CA and HI State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT): Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB): Required Essential Functions: Assigns personnel to particular patients and patient care activities based on independent assessment of effective skill and ability utilization, while working to equalize assigned personnel work load. Prepares patient and radioactive isotopes for administration and performs procedures. Screens and recommends candidates for hire, promotion, discipline and other administrative actions. Reviews daily schedule and assigns staffing, equipment and supplies accordingly. Prioritizes emergent procedures, minimizes patient waits and optimizes turn-around times. Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
