Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of various projects from start to finish. This involves liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that work is completed to high standards while maintaining company health and safety protocols and documentation. Projects range from small joinery installations to multimillion-pound fitouts involving direct and subcontract trades. The Company Based in West Yorkshire, Deanhouse Group are a leading high end joinery manufacturer and specialist interior fit-out company. We operate across a range of sectors including hospitality, stadia, modular build, universities and B&I. We operate from a modern 18,000sqft workshop, which benefits from continuous investment in the latest machinery and software to ensure we are at the forefront of manufacturing and project delivery capabilities. Primary Responsibilities Attending site surveys to assist with the initial brief and measurements to enable costings to be undertaken by the commercial team. Updating the CRM system with project statuses and communications. Attendance at meetings on site, prior to project commencement. Produce and collate H&S documentation for internal labour and from subcontractors and issuing to clients. Development of the programme of works and revisions. Co-ordination of sub-contractors works and supplier’s deliveries to ensure all works are fully complete in accordance with the programme of works. Be the face of the company, and build a good rapport with all stakeholders involved in the projects, portraying a professional image of the Company at all times. Undertake site surveys as required and report findings back to the designers and / or to subcontractors and suppliers. Attendance to progress meetings as required by the client and provide regular reports to the client and Operations Manager. Assistance with reviews of designs, specifications, cost documents and scope of works during the initial phases of a project and prior to commencement, to highlight any possible issues, discrepancies, or suggestions for improvements. Carry out regular audits to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety (H&S), Building Regulations and the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM), including any sub-contractor and supplier compliance as required. Provide feedback during post project reviews, to identify areas of strength and for improvement throughout the whole project life cycle from design through to completion, to improve internal processes and business performance. Production of project O&M information following the completion of projects. Always seek to identify new business opportunities for the Company, referring any potential lead to the Managing Director. Required Qualifications Relevant CSCS Card. SMSTS Qualification preferred. First Aid at Work. Asbestos Awareness. Experience 5 years’ experience as a Project or Contracts Manager in the UK construction market. Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of software, including Microsoft Project. Knowledge and experience of working on digital information, such as iPads and applications, with all company information being cloud based. Exceptional communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and on their own, and communicate clearly with various stakeholders. Representing a company at client and supplier meetings, at working site or office locations. Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations. Experience of developing relationships with new clients. Personal Attributes & Requirements Sociable team member, able to build a good rapport with all staff, suppliers and clients. Personable, approachable, and confident team member, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the business. Willingness to learn and develop your knowledge through formal and informal training. Full UK Driving Licence. Willingness to work unsocial hours including over-night stays on location and management of ‘out of hours’ works as occasionally required on some projects.
