Location: The grounds of Wrest Park, Silsoe, Bedfordshire Employment: Full-time and part-time positions available Salary (FTE): £40,000 per annum depending on level of experience and qualification About Us The CDS Group are the only development management consultancy specialising in bereavement design, planning and development and we are offering a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Landscape Architecture Team as we continue to experience a surge in business across the public and private sector. With both full time and part time roles available, this is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the field of landscape architecture. The Role As a Landscape Architect with us, you will engage in diverse projects ranging from £250k to £20m. You will have the chance to work on innovative designs for crematoria, cemetery, natural burial grounds, memorial gardens, parks, and open space developments. Your role will encompass all elements from initial concept design through to project completion, allowing you to gain invaluable experience and insights into the entire delivery process. Experience & Qualifications We are seeking hard working and passionate individuals with a minimum of 2/3 years experience, who are ideally at post-Chartership. Ideal candidates will possess strong proficiency in a variety of software applications including Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Keyscape, Photoshop, Sketchup. This role requires expertise in contract preparation, specifications, and cost estimating to ensure projects are delivered. A full driving licence is essential as the role involves travelling to various locations across the country. Key Responsibilities Develop soft and hard landscaping drawings along with supporting documentation, progressing from initial concepts to detailed designs, tender submissions, and construction phases. Produce high quality reports that support landscape-related planning documents, including Strategic Planning, Land Visual Impact Assessments, Design and Access Statements. Utilise strong technical and analytical skills to support the delivery of all drawing and supporting information to meet client briefs. Strong ability to present proposals to clients and key stakeholders. Collaborate with colleagues, clients, external partners, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers. Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure delivery of projects to deadlines. Maintain a reliable and committed work ethic and willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
