This full-time position is perfect for an accounting professional with 5-7 years of experience in securing and managing loans for large-scale construction and real estate development projects, particularly in the technology infrastructure sector. As a Loan Specialist, you will play a key role in securing the financing necessary for the development of new data centers and colocation facilities. You will be responsible for managing the loan draw process, invoices, budget tracking, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Loan Application & Management: Lead the preparation and submission of loan draws for development projects. Collaborate with financial institutions, lenders, and investors to secure funding. Monitor loan timelines and disbursements, ensuring funds are released on schedule to meet project milestones. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Track loan disbursements, repayment schedules, and interest rates to maintain proper financial oversight throughout the development process. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations relating to construction financing and loan management, particularly in the data center and real estate development industries. Maintain organized and accurate records of loan agreements, financing documents, and supporting materials for audit purposes. Liaison Role: Serve as the primary point of contact between Chirisa Technology Parks and external lenders, investors, and stakeholders involved in financing the data center development projects. Advise internal teams on financial matters, loan structures, and strategies to ensure effective and efficient use of funds. Risk Management: Collaborate with senior management to assess financial risks associated with loans and funding for construction projects. Recommend improvements to loan processes and financial strategies to optimize funding and reduce risk exposure. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in loan draws, and managing loans for large-scale construction or real estate development projects. Experience in the data center, collocation, or technology infrastructure sectors is highly preferred. Strong understanding of financial regulations related to construction financing, real estate development, and loan management. Proficiency in financial management software and tools. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with lenders, investors, and internal teams. Must be based in or within commutable distance to Arlington, VA, and able to work onsite full-time.
