About the role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Shift Engineer to join our Maintenance team. You will be part of a wider team who manages the daily maintenance duties of the hotel as well as working on longer term projects. A true generalist that is willing to learn and develop through projects and coaching. The ideal candidate will be a smart and trustworthy individual able to provide generalist support and handle all incoming requests. In addition, you will be responsible to protect the hotel and its residents by ensuring a safe working environment is maintained. Responsibilities Managing of repairs, installations and upkeep of hotel facilities. Working safely and professionally in a client facing environment. Respond to requests and find the appropriate solution . General building services work when required. Effectively prioritise any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and complete allocated small projects to the required standard. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance tasks and reactive works. Painting/Decorating and providing a professional finish at all times. Service, test, diagnose and repair systems related to the building systems. Carry out electrical and mechanical and system checks when required. Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the Hotel. Working within the team as well as lone working on certain shifts. Salary & benefits Permanent full-time positions (37.5 hours per week) Salary £32,686.51 pa (£16.76 per hour) Includes Meals on Duty, Discount travel program in Danubius hotels Shifts are based on 5 of 7 days and include weekdays (7am 3pm, 8am 4pm, 1pm 9pm) and weekends (9am 9pm) on a rota basis Candidate requirements Essential : Previous Generalist Maintenance experience ideally in a hotel environment Good level of spoken and written English Desirable : Experience working in a 4 Star hotel Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, evidence of eligibility to work and live in the UK will be required should you be invited to attend an interview.
