Interim Solution Architect Rolling Contract Day Rate: (£500–£600) ZC004 Company Overview Join a leading global provider of integrated technology and payment solutions, delivering services to retail and hospitality customers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced and personable Interim Solution Architect to lead a critical migration project. The Role As the Interim Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in migrating multiple entities currently running Sage X3 (Version 6) on Windows 2008 to a new data centre that does not support this operating system. This is a hands-on role that requires strategic planning, risk mitigation, and the ability to deliver results within tight timeframes. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of the Sage X3 migration project, ensuring successful migration to the new data centre. Conduct a detailed analysis of the current Sage X3 implementation, dependencies, and integrations. Identify risks and key considerations for the migration, including potential system downtime, data integrity, and compatibility challenges. Develop a comprehensive migration plan, including timelines, testing phases, and resource allocation. Implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to coordinate and execute the migration process. Engage with senior stakeholders, including the CFO and CEO, providing clear and concise project updates, risk assessments, and recommendations. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in technology migrations, specifically with Sage X3 or comparable ERP systems. Strong expertise in understanding and mitigating risks associated with legacy systems, data migrations, and OS compatibility issues. Proficiency in Windows Server environments, particularly migrations from older OS versions. Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, with excellent presentation and communication skills. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to project delivery. Availability to start immediately and commit to a rolling contract.
