We have an opportunity for a Regional Director of Finance to join us in our London region, looking after our two properties, Sea Containers London and One Hundred Shoreditch. Based between the two hotels and reporting into the Regional General Manager, the Regional Director of Finance will l ead the financial strategy and function, driving the profitability of the region. They will act as an inspirational leader and business partner to the Regional General Manager and the regions executive team to optimize performance. The Regional Director of Finance is responsible and accountable for all aspects of operational finance, ensuring that the hotels are well managed and performing to (or above) owner expectations. They will e mbed a robust control environment, and challenge operating and commercial procedures and decisions, ensuring best practice is achieved across the balanced scorecard (People, Product and Profit). ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE: Responsible for the coaching and development of financial acumen within all including finance and non-finance team members, driving the financial and commercial literacy of the wider management team. Lead the monthly close and forecasting process for the region, supporting the Regional General Managers review of the monthly financial performance and outlook, ensuring that both historical and forecast revenues and costs are accurately presented and analyzed such that all controllable costs are managed appropriately to the level of business with necessary corrective actions taken. Provide timely and accurate insights to the Regional General Manager and leadership team, inclusive of commercial commentary on trading results and presenting results to Lore Hub leadership and, when required, the broader management team. Attend and take a lead/supporting role at regular business reviews/monthly P&L/forecast meetings, with region and hotel leadership teams. Support the regional leadership team to manage all cost lines to ensure that all unit costs are in line with KPI requirements and support with cost reduction initiatives. Manage cash effectively on a day-to-day basis with accurate forecasting. Ensure appropriate, accurate and insightful financial information is timely submitted to internal and external stakeholders as and when required. Ensure standard and recommended best practices are carried out regularly and in accordance with local legislation. Ensure compliance with company processes and policy on areas such as banking control, liquor controls, and stock controls, as directed by the Hotels Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Financial Procedures (SFP) and Financial Operating Review guidelines (FOR). Where deficiencies are identified responsible for putting remedial training and follow-up actions in place. Assist and direct the hotel to implement effective control processes to safeguard assets, maintain integrity in the accounts and financial reports and mitigate fraud potential. Ensure efficient and effective labour management and accurate payroll completion of schedules, holidays, in line with business needs and local laws. Lead weekly payroll / forecast meetings occur within hotels to ensure maximum productivity and profitability occurs through effective headcount / FTE and seasonality planning. PROFESSIONAL / PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS Relevant professional qualification e.g. Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA etc) Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a Director of Finance / Senior Finance Leadership position ideally in hotel/hospitality (or adjacent) industry. Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing) Strong training delivery experience is essential. Strong organization and analytical skills in problem-solving. Ability to acquire, maintain and influence relationships e.g., stakeholders, customers, vendors, investors. Knowledge of the markets specific luxury / lifestyle hotel sector.
