Job Description

Role Summary Associate Director for a leading communications consultancy working across the built environment sector with a focus on public affairs. The position focuses on: Client Leadership : Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, primarily in public affairs related to the built environment. Strategic Guidance : Offering insightful analysis and advice to clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Business Development : Growing the company’s built environment practice and aiding in marketing and sales efforts. Team Mentorship : Supporting and coaching junior consultants. Project Execution : Leading and delivering campaigns that shape the built environment and support economic growth. Key Responsibilities Client Management Lead and nurture relationships with existing clients. Provide strategic, high-quality advice and analysis Team Leadership Mentor junior staff, guiding their professional development. Business Development Support marketing initiatives for the built environment practice. Campaign Execution Oversee communications, public affairs, and consultation campaigns. Focus on projects related to planning, development, infrastructure, and local government. Candidate Profile Ideal candidates will possess: Experience : Demonstrable experience in communications/public affairs role, preferably in a consultancy or in-house environment. Expertise : Proven ability in managing accounts, delivering campaigns, and navigating the built environment, planning, or public affairs landscape. Interests : A strong passion for the built environment, current affairs, storytelling, politics, policy, and digital campaigning. Skills : Exceptional writing abilities with attention to detail, and experience in line management. Work Style : Thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
