Based in Manchester Head office we are currently seeking a Financial Controller Controller to lead a top Edinburgh 4 star hotel and step into an FC role. This is an exciting opportunity for you to oversee the financial reporting and play a pivotal role in its grow. You will manage the hotels financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing financial strategies, and overseeing the finance department. What will you get up to? Based in Manchester with monthly travel to the hotel you will oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Provide financial analysis and decision support to management. Identify trends, advise the company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis Enhance internal controls and procedures. Assist GM and Director of finance with financial strategy and planning. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and external partners. Mentor and train junior finance team. Your DNA The ideal candidate will have a strong background hotel accounting ideally at FC Level with excellent analytical skills.
