Job Description

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Location : Long Beach, CA 90822 Duration : 1 Year or Full time (options for 26 weeks contract) Start Date: Mar 2025 Shift Schedule: 8-hours or 12-hours Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of two years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting. License: Must hold a valid, current, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Certification: BLS certification is required. Completion of Continuing Medical Education (CME) or Certified Education Units (CEU) is preferred. Responsibilities : Provide out-of-operating room intubation services as part of core privileges. Establish and maintain responsibility for inpatient general internal medicine services. Conduct rounds, facilitate patient transfers, and manage/document telephone communications with patients and physicians. Ventilator management, including advanced techniques such as pressure control modalities and associated adjustments/monitoring, with or without graphical data interpretation. Collaborate with physicians by offering appropriate recommendations for changes in respiratory therapy. Perform independent basic and advanced respiratory care, including administering oxygen and aerosol therapy, operating positive pressure devices (e.g., BiPAP, CPAP, IPV), and managing ventilators with advanced techniques such as pressure control modalities and associated adjustments/monitoring, including graphical data interpretation.
