Parks Operative - Public Sector

Our client, a leading provider of well-maintained public parks and recreational areas, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Parks Operative. This role is essential for ensuring that green spaces remain safe, clean, and inviting for the community. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance of park grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting. Maintain park facilities such as playgrounds, picnic areas, sports fields, and walking trails. Perform regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needs. Assist in the setup and teardown of events and activities within the parks. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and vehicles safely and effectively. Collect and dispose of litter and debris to keep parks clean and tidy. Interact courteously with the public, providing information or assistance as needed. Report any damage, vandalism, or issues to supervisors promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices. Ideal Candidate Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a similar role is preferred but not required. Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of landscaping equipment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working in outdoor environments. Valid C1E driver's license is required.
