Events & Groups Manager The Berkeley A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Events & Groups Manager to join the Events Operations team at The Berkeley. As an Events & Groups Manager , you will ensure and develop in an organised and planned manner, effective management and efficient, courteous service of all Events areas, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation whilst acting within the departmental budgetary and policy requirements. Main responsibilities of the Events & Groups Manager include, but are not limited to: Ensure that Events revenue is maximized wherever possible, assisting the Head of Events & Groups with the annual budget process and completing the weekly forecasts. Maintain and check the correct laid down billing and accounting procedures. Undertake weekly regular checks and action plans on revenue; variances recognized and acted upon. Assist the Head of Events, in conjunction with the Executive Chef and General Manager, an Events price structure for all banquet and special arrangements, to ensure company and hotel profit margins are met. Action and co-ordinate all detailed function arrangements promptly (e.g. equipment hire flowers). Control and carry out the follow up system on previous bookings together with cancelled bookings. Follow up all enquiries with great efficiency and maximum speed to maximize conversions to definite bookings. Contribute in maintaining an excellent level of service in conjunction with the minimum requirement of the LQA and Forbes standards at all times.
