Shift Manager Celsa Steel - Cardiff £46,132 plus 15% Bonus 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) As a Shift Manager at CELSA, you will be responsible for directing manufacturing operations safely within one of our Hot Rolling Mills. You will need to make efficient use of your available resources, ensuring that the production targets are met. You will also work closely with your colleagues in the production management team to ensure that we are getting the best out of our processes. You will be an experienced manager with a background within production and manufacturing. Over the years, you will have developed practical expertise in production as well as the ability to lead and develop teams. You will be able to identify training needs, providing support and coaching to your team where needed. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the activities of your shift. Ensure adherence to safety standards, conducting safety tours, audits, and investigations to maintain the highest safety practices in line with company policies. Manage and supervise daily operations, including production activities, material flow, inventory, and adherence to production schedules. Monitor and control shift resources, including overtime, manpower, and material usage, to optimize cost and productivity. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving Total Quality Management initiatives and performance enhancement.
