Gardener/Driver (Scale 3)

Who You Are We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals who have essential previous experience in grounds maintenance. A basic understanding of horticultural machinery and plant knowledge is desirable, along with a strong grasp of Health & Safety regulations. You must possess a driving license suitable for up to 3.5 tonne vehicles, preferably with experience driving in a London Borough. You should be capable of taking and understanding clear instructions, working in all weather conditions, and completing physical tasks unsupervised. Experience in customer care and the ability to work within a team or independently are also crucial. What the Job Involves This varied role within the Parks division entails maintaining over 100 parks and open spaces throughout the Borough, including playgrounds, countryside areas, and sports pitches. Beyond the parks, responsibilities extend to maintaining grass verges, green spaces on roads, and in housing estates. The job requires traveling across the Borough and ensuring all areas are kept in excellent condition for residents and visitors. Please confirm your available start date upon application.
