Be the Event Manager at Brunswick House About us: Brunswick House is an antique-filled Grade II Georgian mansion in Vauxhall. Comprising a chandelier lit restaurant and bar, a cellar bar that hosts live music, a landscaped terrace for summer dining and private dining rooms over three floors filled with period detail, its one of Londons most iconic and unique venues. Our cooking is produce-led, intuitive, and flavour-focussed. We believe wholeheartedly in creating a beautiful environment both to visit as a guest, and work in as a member of our team. We take enormous pride in what we do, and the amount of happiness it brings. We host up to 250 private events per year, including intimate private dining experiences, wedding receptions and parties. The house holds private seated meals for up to 110 guests and can accommodate standing parties with up to 250 guests. We serve menus that include canapés, bowl food and three-course banquets. You will be joining an events team consisting of a Head of Events and Junior Event Manager. Job description: - 45 hours a week full-time contract - Led by and reporting back to our Head of Events - The responsibilities of this role include events sales, planning and leading service both front and back of house - The time allocation of this role is equally split between administrative tasks and being in service at events - Administrative shifts are during the day and service shifts are primarily in the evenings and at weekend - The events sales rand planning responsibilities involve handling customer enquiries, creating costed proposals, client show-rounds, hosting planning meetings with clients including tastings, collecting deposits from clients and creating weekly and service planning documents for internal use - The event service responsibilities involve leading the events team in the set-up, service and break-down of events, end-of-day reporting and communicating with the kitchen, restaurant and bar head of department during service - We are a food led business with a private events front of house team who supports the event chef in plating dishes when in service Ideal candidate: - This is a role that is suited to candidates with a minimum of two years hospitality experience either in restaurants or event catering - Acute attention to detail - Skilled in leading a front of house team in service - Willing to be hands-on during events - A desire to learn and grow with us - A love of hospitality, food and drink and working in a busy environment We offer: - 50% staff discount on food and drink - Room to grow - Growing food and drinks knowledge and expanding service skills in training - Work / life balance AMRT1_UKCT
