Candidates from a design, project management, or site based role should apply · Opportunity to work closely with M&E Consultants, and Contractors in project design · Forward thinking and innovative lighting solutions across industrial and commercial · A fantastic career path for the right individual · Excellent technical and product support and can coach junior candidates and graduates Glasgow and West Scotland - Junior Business Development Manager THE ROLE : As a BDM within the West Scotland area, you will spend your time identifying and winning project specifications with M&E Consultants, Contractors and End Users within the Education, Industrial and Residential sectors. You will be influencing the design, delivery and installation of those lighting projects within your region. You will be selling a range of lighting products and lighting controls which can be stand alone or part of an integrated BMS system with a strong focus on education and schools, offices and hospitality and also some residential. Candidates with a technical bias or engineering apprenticeship are at an advantage but bright graduates or junior sales reps will be coached and mentored so this is not a pre-requisite. This is a long sales cycle to identify, win and manage lighting projects so patience and attention to detail is key. Working as part of a close knit and highly successful sales team, you will represent a profitable and forward-thinking company. The position will require you to deliver some technical presentations learn about the tendering and project management process as well as showing strong relationship building at all levels of the sales cycle. There is very good team support and coaching for a junior candidate so up and comer sales profiles or electrical engineers with a desire to break into sales should apply. We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria: · Junior sales person wanting to develop their technical sales career, OR a lighting designer, engineering apprentice or bright graduate living in Glasgow or West Scotland · Understanding of M&E consultants & Contractors would be desirable but not essential- could have sold to them or worked for them in a commercial or technical or Graduate role. · Ability to manage a pipeline of projects and long sales cycle · A consultative, driven and professional salesperson with good attention to detail · Understanding of electrical or technical drawings/technical aptitude is desirable but not essential. Salary: up to £40,000 basic salary, plus strong open ended OTE, company car allowance, mobile, laptop, 25 days holiday, pension scheme
