Kjar, McKenna & Stockalper, seeks assiduous and detail-oriented Associates to join our thriving Huntington Beach office , to practice on one of our Medical Malpractice and General Liability teams. The ideal candidate has strong written and oral communication skills, is detail oriented, and will be able to effectively collaborate with fellow KMS attorneys in the defense of their clients. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal skills, oral advocacy, writing skills, and motivation, are a must. JD from an ABA school required. Experience in insurance defense litigation and general familiarity with carrier billing and reporting guidelines is preferred. Qualified candidates will have experience handling civil litigation matters. We are currently hiring for candidates (in our company wide) who have experience in the following practice areas: Catastrophic injury Complex torts Medical malpractice Public entity defense Elder defense Employment defense Environmental and toxic tort litigation General liability Premises liability Product liability Professional liability Responsibilities Independently work with a senior attorney on team to manage caseload. Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. Regularly handle and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs. Conduct legal research, handle discovery and analyze medical and employment records. Frequently handle court appearances, depositions and meetings.
