Job Description
Sous Chef, (with the potential of Kitchen Manager Role) My client is looking for a Sous Chef to join them on a Permanent Basis, with the potential to progress. Location: Loughborough Position: Sous Chef Job Type: Full-time, working Monday-Friday 7am-3pm (no bank holidays) Salary: Competitive, based on experience, paid weekly. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, maintaining high levels of morale and teamwork. Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes are to the highest standard. Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes. Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards. Work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menus and seasonal specials. Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a busy kitchen environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team. Exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Passion for food and a creative approach to menu development. Culinary qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.
