This position is not eligible for telecommuting Essential Functions Fabricate and assemble tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures and small components of non-complex electro/mechanical, radar, telemetry, weather, communications, and optical instrumentation systems under guidance of qualified personnel Perform lathe and milling machine work to tolerances no less than .005" Perform occasional corrosion control activities, including but not limited to surface preparation, sand blasting, spot painting and touchup Perform non-complex mechanical tasks Assist with silver soldering, assembly, fabrication and modification to all wave-guide installation and repair tasks Assist in solving difficult and unusual fabrication problems under the guidance of qualified personnel and perform modification repairs as required. Perform other related duties for general Level 2 Depot maintenance as assigned Required Skills Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area Skilled at reading blueprints, sketches, and designs Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, team-orientated environment Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Technical/trade school certification or equivalent apprenticeship training Two years' related fabrication experience Experience with supply and property procedures Thorough knowledge of mechanical machinery Working knowledge of corrosion control technology Working knowledge of hazardous materials and waste management Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability to frequently climb elevated antenna structures and work from heights up to 30 feet Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time Ability to operate corrosion control equipment/tools Ability to use coolants, cutting and lubricating liquids Ability to operate shop crane, forklift, and trucks to 1 tons The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship Valid U.S. Driver's License Valid U.S. passport or ability to obtain one within six months Must be able to travel 30-40% locally, within the Continental U.S and Outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS) Benefits of Working at RGNext RGNext offers our team of experienced, professional employees an environment of challenging, stimulating and personally and professionally rewarding career opportunities and growth.
