Security Manager - Business Unit Location: Hybrid Job type: Fixed Term Contract Ref: 1142 The Business Unit Security Manager is a focussed security delivery manager, managing business development and security requirements for both Telent's Network Services and Transport Business Units, working with CYRO and Telent Security teams. The role provides a liaison function for customer projects and reports into the CISO, as well as providing Project Security delivery, Operational Security management, Information Security Risk Management and Governance implementation across respective Business Units on behalf of each Business Unit Information Security Lead (Director). What you'll do: Threat and Risk focussed delivery for Transport and Network Services customer projects Work with stakeholders on customer engagement and provides Security support to Business development Capture and management of security requirements for Bids and Project scoping Support CYRO engagement and delivery reviews into Telent Enables CYRO to engage with customer projects and assists successful delivery of CYRO into Telent projects. Support Business Unit Business Continuity implementations Provides bid support and Security Pipeline development management. Security Risk Management delivery and support with Security Working Group attendance Prepare reports on project's security status for key stakeholders Manages and assists CYRO project delivery, validating outputs and deliverables SOW (Statement of works) management and scoping support to CYRO and respective Business Units ISMS Policy alignment and implementation to ensure projects are aligned to Telent Certifications and supports Telent Security audit planning with projects Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to educate staff on security best practices and compliance requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches promptly and effectively. Collaboration: Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure a unified approach to information security. Governance and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on security status, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies for senior management, SWG's and relevant stakeholders. Key requirements: A degree in Information Security, Computer Science, CISSP or an equivalent qualification or experience. ISO27001 Implementer or Auditor, Demonstrable experience in information security risk management, preferably within a Telco, Government or Defence context. In-depth understanding of HMG and or MOD information security assurance processes, policies, and standards. Technical Skills in Network, Platform, Cloud Hosting, Encryption, Security Architecture, NIST Controls. Proficiency in ISO 27005/ 3100 Information Security Risk assessment procedures and tools, security audit techniques, and incident response methodologies. Technical skills in Network, Hosting Infrastructures, Cloud and End user Security, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate security risks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate security risks and mitigation strategies to non-technical stakeholders. NIST Security Incident Management procedures experience. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all security measures are accurately implemented and maintained. Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment. Ability to adapt to changing security landscapes and emerging threats. A proactive approach to staying informed about the latest developments in HMG /MOD/CNI/ Industry information security standards and policies.
