FLT Operator

We have a contractual FLT Operator role available at DS Smith, with a potential pathway to a permanent position. This role is ideal for someone with strong operational skills who is flexible, experienced, and eager to work both days and nights. Role: FLT Operator Location: South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH - DS Smith Rate of Pay: £15.40 per hour Overtime Pay: OT1: £23.10 (Monday to Thursday at x1.5) OT2: £30.80 (Friday to Sunday at x2.0) Contract Length: 3 months rolling, with potential for a permanent position Shift Patterns: Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 16:00 (Occasional extended hours on overtime and Friday work as required) Responsibilities: Safely operate machinery to move materials, achieving productivity and performance targets in quality, waste management, and customer service. Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per the planned schedule. Support and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Operate a Counterbalance FLT and undertake occasional Warehouse Operative tasks (manual labor is not a primary component of this role). Essential Requirements: Mandatory External Counterbalance FLT License (internal licenses will not be accepted). Flexibility to work nights and experience with shift patterns.
